The Owners of FTC kitchen have been in the food industry for the past 20 plus years. Together Bruce and Mary have been on the food network dozens of times with a National Award Winning and Brand of Sauces they developed and distributed nationally. They also created several reality food shows, worked with leading TV Food network chefs such as Duff Goldman and Guy Fieti, The Dean Brothers, Warren Brown, Sara Moulton, David Rosen Garden.

In 2010 a dear friend asked Mary, could you cater a few meals for a rehab location she was working with on the clinical side – their options for food were dismal, and it had become very limited turning to the fast-food drive-through for clients twice per day. The staff of this rehabilitation location were trying to cook meals but lacked the knowledge of meal prep and recipe control for the group she was counseling. Some clients were trying to help and pitch in by making breakfast, but they had schedules to keep and groups to attend, so lunch and dinner were left to staff bumping into each other owners stressed out and every day ended up with another run for fast food or pizza.

The clients just didn’t feel healthy after a burger, fries, and soda from a fast-food drive-through. The other alternative tried was Costco although a great place to shop the options on pre-made meals were limited and were loaded with every kind of preservative know to man to keep them shelf-stable.

We agreed to help out for a few days using or commercial kitchen to whip up lunch & dinner meals for 12 people. The next day the owners of the facility were in the kitchen asking for an extended contract for catering.

Within a month, I realized how unique this industry was and how they desperately needed our service. Six months later, we were serving more than 500 clients daily, and the business kept growing. We now have 12 drivers on the road daily and 11 staff in the kitchen cooking recipes I grew up on -making holidays, events clients are in awe over, baking cookies, muffins, and cakes daily.

We developed a love for this niche in the market place. The addition has run rapidly in our family showing no mercy.
It became an increasing passion for us to work within this industry and a way to extend some comfort through our food to clients who are trying to change their lives for the better.
